Jeremy Keys is an experienced 🧙‍♂️, generalist backend engineer 👷, proficient in relaxed but precise technical communication, developing distributed Typescript (Node.JS) and Python applications, and deploying them to Kubernetes environments managed in GCP.

In my time at Ginger Labs, I have successfully integrated open-source ML models into backend workflows (Audio Transcription), written highly distributed, socket- and streaming-based messaging systems, developed Google and Apple OAuth for login, and implemented gifting, among many other projects.

I am skilled at manipulating relational databases, including schema development and management, indexing strategies, efficient query patterns, and so forth. I have written many dozens of schema migrations that now underpin large amounts of production code for Notability.

I also am familiar with Redis. I even know the trick for efficiently caching rolling window datasets in Redis using scored sets!

Additionally, I'm very comfortable in developing and administrating infrastructure, including GCP, Terraform, Helm, CircleCI, ArgoCD, and related technologies.

Oh, and payment systems! Well, at least, Stripe. I've written a lot of Stripe checkout session and webhook logic for subscription systems.
